Illegal Immigration Again, Still, Whatever

It is difficult, probably impossible, to have a decent, worthwhile society that does not also have a sense of order. That is not the only requirement of course, but it is a necessary one. Part of that is that we draw lines. This is acceptable, that is not. Here is where we get our drinking water, over there is where we flush our toilets into. Don't get them confused, you won't like the results. We drive on this side of the road, not that side or the center. Say ''pl;ease'', '' thank you'', ''excuse me'', and the like. This house is yours, that is mine. Know the difference.
We also say that this area here is marked off and has set up its own rules. This is yours, that is theirs. Don't get them mixed up.
Finally, we say that this area here, and we define it pretty well, is a nation. They have their territory, their rules, their arrangements. You are not free to enter without permission, any more than they can waltz into your home and rearrange the furniture or sell off what you don't like.
These things are pretty basic, a 9-year-old can generally understand them. Unfortunately, some of our politicians lack the understanding, or the ethics, of a 9-year-old. And so we have problems.
The article I've linked to, above (and found again here ) is a discussion concerning this. It's long. Read it anyway, it's worth the time spent.
