Another entry on the contacts list

We were greatly blessed this morning to have missionaries speaking at our tiny church. Let me introduce Tom and Larissa Benz. Tom, actually Rev. Benz, alternates between mission activities in Ukraine, and operation of a Christian retreat in central Alabama.
He and Larissa spoke, and so did a guest, a Ukrainian linguist and translator with them, Tanya whose last name is, I believe, Tkachenko. They were able to share with us some of the issues and struggles in their ministry to orphan children and teens in Ukraine. Some of the kids are Ukrainian but most are Russian. Some are even Muslims. All are orphans. This ministry is an opening to proclaim Jesus Christ and the love of God to kids who may never have experience love before, and certainly may never have known of Jesus.
You can find more about them at the web sites, www. bridgesoffaith.com and here at www.bridgestoneonline.com .It's worth the look.
Want to go on a short-term mission? They have a need!

  1. Thank you so much for such kind words! Larissa, Tanya, and I loved being with you in your church, Bridgeview Baptist in Montgomery, this morning. What a wonderful spirit of loved you all have! And we appreciated so much your pastor and his beautiful wife. May the Lord bless you for this blog and bring you His highest in all of life!

    My best,

    Tom
