Today's Reading -- 29 April 2009

A Wonderful Wednesday to you.

One of the frustrations that I live with as this blog chugs along is the number of times where I desperately want to say a great deal about a passage, and sudden time squeezes, or illnesses, or something gets in the way. This is such a time. The monitor on my desktop system has died, and so has the nice keyboard. So that's out until such time as the finances will stand a replacement monitor. The power supply for the Dell laptop has died also. Also waiting for a repair as the wallet will bear. So this is being typed on a little netbook with an 80% keyboard and about an 8 inch screen. It just is not conducive to lengthy posting. Sorry.

Today's readings are chapters 21 and 22 of 2nd Samuel. Both significant - the results of a scare in chapter 21 lead to David being at home to see Bathsheba. And 22 is a magnificent bit of poetry/hymnody,

The evening's passage is verses 1-3o of Luke 22. We're Getting Down To It: this is from the Last Supper.
