Happy Thursday to all.
Today is frequently set aside in Holy Week as Maundy Thursday. This is believed to be the day of the Last Supper.
It is also sometimes celebrated as National Peach Cobbler Day. Just in case anyone is interested.
Dear Wife is doing the "watch the Great-Niece" thing today. It's good for both of them.
We did the "go to hospital lab and draw blood for tests" yesterday. Back by noon. She spent most of the rest of the day suffering what looks like Irritable Bowel Syndrome, which is no fun at all. Took its toll on her, physically, mentally, and emotionally. She pounded down quite a bit of the anti-diarrheal medicine, the over-the-counter stuff, which helps. Some, anyway.
Our Old Testament reading today is chapters 13 and 14 of 1st Samuel. The people wanted a king, so they could be like the nations around them. They got Saul. And things went downhill even faster.
I Samuel 14
Our reading from the New Testament is verses 1-24 of Luke chapter 14.
