Today's--abbreviated -- Readings and Stuff, Sunday, 23 January 2022

We've pretty much been stuck inside today.  I was having coffee before heading out for Sunday worship, when some messages began flying.   Yes, we had snow overnight (evil stuff) and yesterday's relative warmth meant that the snow was hiding a nasty prevalence of ice.  So safe driving was an issue in the 5 County area (3 in Ohio, 2 in Pennsyltucky).  Given that our street -- untouched by the Township road crews -- is on a pretty good grade, and the road to the state highway is even steeper. And ice covered, both.  So I elected to stay home and watch the service on-line.   Oh, and it was around 5:15 p.m. before the Township's snow plows deigned to appear.  The weather in the coming week is expected to be lousy, but we are now in the traditionally coldest part of the winter.  Ick.

Our reading for today is chapters 45 and 46 in the Genesis.  Please give it prayerful attention.
