The final Tuesday in September. We're now into an Ohio Autumn, which I hate nearly as much as Ohio winters. No snow yet, but probably a month from now we'll be seeing it. And seeing it for months and months, with bitter cold throughout. We don't have central heat in our little hovel, all heat comes from one of those gas fireplaces with an internal blower. I'll be lighting it in a little bit later tonight. Last night we were down into the 40's, and in the not-too-distant future we'll be praying for a HIGH in the 40's, and we will likely see days and weeks with the temperature never going above the freezing point (32 F). We are, after all, only about an hour south of the Great Lakes with the US-Canada border just above that. Not quite the warm weather we enjoyed in our 22+ years living in the South. Oh, well.
Dear Wife's Disability check hit the account this morning. The original plan was for me to run to the store to pick up a few "fill-in" items we'd skipped last week. But she's decided we should stay home today and go tomorrow. Whatever. So she is next door with the Beloved Great-Niece until late this afternoon. The original revised plan was for her to go with me after Niece gets home from work, but that was just revised. Again, whatever.
The morning reading is chapters 10, 11, and 12 of Isaiah.
The evening reading is chapter 5 of Paul's Epistle to the Galatians.
