First Sunday in October. At least, there is no snow. Yet.
The Great Garage Sale proceeds apace. So Wife, Niece, Sister-in-law, nephew's wife, brother-in-law are all Next Door sitting around the garage filled with tables and piles of no-longer-wanted "stuff". Using the time to rehash old stories, old grievances, old gossip, etc. And, perhaps, creating new and more interesting ones. Beyond my ken, that is for sure.
Wife came home around 4 p.m., in great pain from hours of having her damaged foot un-elevated and down on cold concrete in the garage. I put some Lidocaine cream on the suture scar areas, the marks from a surgery more than a year past that has not yet healed properly. We have her foot up, which helps. We reheated some leftover soup for dinner, massaged the foot a while, put some "goop", actually several different ones, on the affected areas, covered her up and let her get back a bit.
Off to bed shortly. We hope she'll get some sleep tonight. Last night was rough, she was in great pain and feeling the wide-awake effects of some of her many meds, didn't come to bed until after 02:00 and didn't get to sleep until around 05:00. She was still in bed, semi-sleeping, when I left this morning around 09:00. This is not good for her. (takes a bite out of me too, frankly).
Our reading for the Old Testament today is chapters 24, 25, and 26 of Isaiah.
The New Testament passage is chapter 4 of the Epistle to the Ephesians.
By the way, you can look up the location of Ephesus here.
