Warm here today, unusually so for this area at this time of year. Warm as in high 70's. Three years ago, as we were moving in, we'd had SNOW already. Haven't seen that yet, but it can't be far off. I see that the sun, that major driver of our weather and climate, is and has been unusually quiet. That portends cold. Serious cold. Long-lasting cold. Weather it is "new ice age" cold is yet to be seen, but one remains wary. So much for the idiocy of human-caused catastrophic "glow-bull warming" which has always been a liar's club thing.
Been another birth in the extended family last night. Next-door niece's husband's sister gave birth around 03:00 to a very pretty little girl. Not a preemie by any means, she was due more than 10 days ago. Natural birth, mom and baby doing well, husband, grandparents (and one great-grandparent), uncles, aunts, and cousins all happy. A good thing.
The reading for today from the Old Testament is chapters 33, 34, and 35 of Jeremiah. In the midst of disaster, a promise of hope for the future.
The day's New Testament study is chapter 3 of Titus.
