Still a bit discombobulated around here. I had Dear Wife to doctor yesterday. It was nominally a scheduled appointment with the specialist who oversees her Psoriatic Arthritis, Rheumatoid Diseases, lupus, and related autoimmune conditions. But she also presented with severe breathing issues and just downright miserable feeling for the last week. He's a good doctor, one of the very best we've had, and he did a more thorough look at things, even sent her over to the next building for an X-ray, lest she be in some stage of the pneumonia that she "normally" gets several times a year. It wasn't, it's probably inflammation in all the air passages, including in the lungs -- hence the pleurisy she's been suffering and which is, unfortunately, an all too common part of her life. Anyway, he presecribed a short-term maxi regimen of the prednisone (steroid type) that she already takes. She began that this morning. We shall see. It normally helps, but " 'roid rage" is a very real thing, I have reason to know. So the next few days may be difficult for both of us.
And I've been asked to give a talk to the Sunday morning Bible study group for the next two weeks, beginning this coming Sunday. The last few years are the first break from being and adult Bible teacher in quite a number of years. So we shall see how it goes.
