Up early, Dear Wife had an 08:40 doctor appointment in the city 20 miles from here (a specialist). Sick when we went. Among other things, she has pleurisy, she has some severe inflammation in the mucous membranes of the sinuses, and all the air passages. Fortunately, does not seem to have pneumonia (yet). Does have some severe allergies. Will start a session of heavy steroid use, beginning in the morning. Does not appear to need antibiotics. Yet.
Left there after about 3-1/2 hours. Stopped at grocery to pick up some items she'd forgotten to tell me yesterday to get.
Between those stops, went by the cell phone joint. We have a deal with the provider, courtesy of being dealers for them at one time (several states back, in fact) such that we get to trade in the phones for an upgrade about every 24 months, and at a very attractive price not available to the general public. So we pre-ordered the newest Samsung phone, got (and brought home), FREE, a "smartwatch", and brought home, FREE, a new tablet. So we were there for almost two hours.
Then came home, heated up some leftover meat, had some sandwiches. She crashed on the recliner. Got up after a while, played with cat, played with phone, then she went back to sleep for a while. I cleaned up some stuff. Did a bit of reading.
She woke, feeling lousy, just wanted some toast and tea for dinner. Probably she'll be hungry again later: we went through this last night, she got hungry around 11:00 p,.m. and got up and had cereal. ( I had to get the cereal down). Likely to be the same thing tonight.
The Old Testament reading is Psalms 109, 110, and 111. Psalm 109 is one of the "imprecatory psalms". When I was growing up, these psalms were NEVER mentioned.
The New Testament reading is Romans chapter 16, completing it.
