Hard to believe that we are almost halfway through the month of September and nearly to the first day of Autumn. Some people love the Fall, particularly those who don't like the heat (as they reckon it) of Summer, particularly those in the Deep South. Though I have heard the same complaints from those nearby, living as they do an hour south of the "North Coast", with Canada not too far away. I would not be surprised to see SNOW six weeks from now. Some people love it, I have always hated it and always shall. But we are fast heading into that season. Yuck!!!
The morning here was busy. Well, not here, but I was. There is a fellow not far (like 10 minute drive or less) who operates a low-key education ministry in Africa. No big budgets, not big buildings: he pretty much operates it out of his home and outbuildings. He gets by on donations, and had a trailer (not a 53 footer, on that can be pulled by an F-250) full of donated books of all kinds, and he needed help unloading it because another load is coming tomorrow. So I went over and spent the morning unloading boxes and boxes and boxes of books. A whole lot like work, to be sure, but worth doing.
Then I came home and took my "morning" meds, and had some coffee. Wife was up and surrounded by cats and all was well. Until one of them went back into the bedroom, jumped up on the bed, and proceeded to puke on the quilt, the exposed part of the blanket beneath, the bed rail, and the floor. So Yours Truly had the "honor" of stripping the bed, throwing the affected bedding into the wash, wiping the stuff off the bedrails and cleaning the floor. Just how I had hoped to spend the day. Not!
So it's been fun. Quiet though.
