"My Faith Has Found A Resting Place"
That came to me in mid-morning.  I don't know that it says it all, but it says a very great deal.

This has been an odd day (as if that were unusual, surely).  Late this afternoon, while Wife was heavily involved in making a very early supper, we got call from Next-Door-Niece.  Seems that Wife's brother-in-law's company picnic was today. So he'd invited Niece & husband and kids, and nephew and wife and kids.  All at the park of a local minor league baseball club. Lots of perks too, like free parking, and unlimited free food from the concession stands.  But then, in the midst of our meal preps, a call.  Would we like to come too?  Free passes to enter, free food, all that.  Wife wanted to try:  she's been sitting in recliner with the feet way elevated for most of the last few days, so cabin fever had taken hold (a rarity).  So, the half-made food went into the refrigerator, and off we went. 
Lasted about 3-1/2 innings and then wanted to come home, so we did.
I just got done putting the lotions, Icy Hot, Aspercreme+lidocaine, and lidocaine on the feet, legs, and knees.  This is the most walking she'd done in a week, and she's in some real pain. 

But one interesting thing came out of it.  Ran into a couple at the game that I'd gone to high school with.  Hadn't laid eyes on either for more than 40 years.  Got to talk with them a bit.  So, perhaps, that leads to something worthwhile.

Job 17

1My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the graves are ready for me.breath…: or, spirit is spent

5He that speaketh flattery to his friends, even the eyes of his children shall fail.

6He hath made me also a byword of the people; and aforetime I was as a tabret.aforetime: or, before them

7Mine eye also is dim by reason of sorrow, and all my members are as a shadow.my members: or, my thoughts

8Upright men shall be astonished at this, and the innocent shall stir up himself against the hypocrite.

9The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.be…: Heb. add strength

15And where is now my hope? as for my hope, who shall see it?

16They shall go down to the bars of the pit, when our rest together is in the dust.

Job 18

1Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

2How long will it be ere ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.

3Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight?

4He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?himself: Heb. his soul

5Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.

6The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.candle: or, lamp

7The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.

8For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare.

9The gin shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him.

10The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.laid: Heb. hidden

11Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.drive: Heb. scatter

12His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction shall be ready at his side.

14His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.

15It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.

16His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.

17His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.

18He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.He…: Heb. They shall drive him

19He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.

20They that come after him shall be astonished at his day, as they that went before were affrighted.went…: or, lived with himwere…: Heb. laid hold on horror

21Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.
